Lowestoft Vision is the heart of the town's commercial and cultural hub of shops, services, restaurants, markets, arts and heritage venues, parks, gardens and meeting places. As a Businesses Improvement District (BID) and organisation we pride ourselves on being business led and business focused with the aim of improving Lowestoft for our community, visitors and businesses.
Lowestoft Vision is managed through Suffolk Chamber of Commerce with local businesses within the BID area guiding projects and setting policies that enhance business opportunities in the town and retail area of central Lowestoft.
From August 2013 to August 2018 Lowestoft Vision will raise the profile & experience to Lowestoft developing services with the following aims:
From January 2015 Lowestoft Vision in Partnership with Suffolk Constabulary have part funded a dedicated PCSO for The BID Area. The post is in addition to the Constabulary's current provision and will only patrol the BID area with Lowestoft Vision setting quarterly priorities for the PCSO.
The radio scheme provides a perfect link between retailers, CCTV and Suffolk Police to enable us to provide a safe and secure environment
Improve the look of the town centre with Christmas lights, floral displays, and street decoration,
Lowestoft Vision will be working with other agencies and local authorities to improve cleanliness in the BID area including remove graffiti and flyposting.
Lowestoft Vision is committed to to improve signposting and welcome points to the town.
Lowestoft Vision will organise events to encourage people into the town including markets, student nights and history/heritage trails.
In 2015 Lowestoft Vision launched "Discover Lowestoft" a new brand and website to promote the town.
Lowestoft Vision will act as a lobbying group for the businesses in the town. Working with the local community groups, local authority and the police to negotiate car parking charges, car parking signage, roadworks, events etc....
