Lowestoft Vision is the heart of the town’s commercial and cultural hub of shops, services, restaurants, markets, arts and heritage venues, parks, gardens and meeting places. As a Businesses Improvement District and organisation we pride ourselves on being business lead and business focused with the aim of improving Lowestoft for our community, visitors and businesses.
Lowestoft Vision covers the central retail area that includes London Road North, The Britten Centre, Bevan Street, Surry Street, Gordon Road and the Historic High Street. All of which is surrounded by the towns harbour, seafront, Sparrows Nest Gardens, Belle View Park and the commercial areas of Whapload Road, Newcombe Road and Commercial Road.
Lowestoft Vision is committed to raising the profile and experience to Lowestoft and will be working towards the following aims over the next 5 years:
Lowestoft Vision’s Street Ambassador’s assist the public and liaise with businesses, acting as a friendly and welcoming point of contact for the community and visitors..
The radio scheme provides a perfect link between retailers, CCTV and Suffolk Police to enable us to provide a safe and secure environment
Improve the look of the town centre with Christmas lights, floral displays, and street decoration,
Lowestoft Vision will be improving signposting and producing leaflets that ensure our visitors can discover what the town has to offer.
Lowestoft Vision will organise events to encourage people into the town including markets, student nights and history/heritage trails.
The town APP will be developed and will include all businesses in the BID area this will be linked with Lowestoft Vision's social media.
Lowestoft Vision will act as a lobbying group for the businesses in the town. Working with the local community groups, local authority and the police to negotiate car parking charges, car parking signage, roadworks, events etc....
