Local Business Rewarded for Excellent Customer Service

Lowestoft Vision which is part of Lowestoft & Waveney Chamber of Commerce, this week was pleased to announce the latest town customer hero.

The campaign began back in February 2015, is organised by Lowestoft Vision as part of Business in the Community (BiTC) “Healthy High Street campaign”. Previous winners have included Tony Wood at Hi-tech, Daniel & Claire Bogan from Oregano Health Foods, Jane Collier from M&S and last month’s winner cycle heroJane Fullford from BeActive Mobility.

This week Rik Hunt from Dunxs cycles on the Historic High Street was awarded his customer hero badge and voucher following a nomination from Claire and Dominic Bogan. Claire nominated Rik after visiting Duncs cycles whilst looking for a bicycle for her six year old Son. Claire said “Rik helped Dominic pick out a suitable bike without being be pushy. In addition he helped build his confidence by telling him how easy it is to ride a bike. A week later when we saw Rik he gave Dominic a high five after being told he could now ride his bike.

On receiving the award from Claire and Darren Newman from Lowestoft Vision, Rik said “It was a pleasure to help Dominic find his bike! We pride ourselves in providing a customer lead service, finding the correct cycles for customers and ensuring they are comfortable on them.

Darren Newman from Lowestoft Vision who manage the campaign said “We are delighted to present another business with the Lowestoft Customer hero award, although judging the many entries we receive is a real challenge.”

“The members of staff who work in our shops and services work really hard to create a welcoming and friendly environment and we look forward to announcing further winners in the future”.

Lowestoft vision received over 50 nominations per month from customers for staff in town centre businesses. From these nominations Lowestoft Vision and the Healthy High Street Partners judge each entry to find a suitable winner.

David Lewis Boots Store Manager and member of the Healthy High Streets team said, “As part of the Healthy High Streets campaign we want promote pride in the town. The customer hero programme does just that and we are delighted to reward the efforts by members of staff who go the extra mile”.

Shoppers to Lowestoft can continue to nominate their customer hero by completing the nomination cards which can be found in shops throughout the town centre and historic High Street.

If your nomination leads to the business being awarded the customer hero award then you could win a £25 voucher to spend at participating stores.
